When Baidu announced its C2C ecommerce platform in last year, many people were speculating whether Baidu will develop its own online payment service or use/acquire an existing one in the market. Now it turns out that Baidu will develop one. Its online payment service, Baifubao, will be launched soon. So does its C2C platform, which is under private pilot test already.

China’s online payment market is dominated by Alipay, under Alibaba Group. According to iResearch, in second quarter of this year, Alipay took about 51% share of online payment market in China, followed by Tenpay, an online payment service by Tencent, China UnionPay’s online payment service and 99Bill.

According to Alipay, by May 2008, the register users of Alipay has exceeded 80 million with over RMB 350 million daily transaction volume and 1.5 million daily transactions. Besides merchants on Taobao and Alibaba, there are over 460,000 e-commerce merchants are using Alipay on their sites. On August, Alipay officially launched the WAP version, allowing you to make transaction on your phone.

Instead of just serving China market, Alipay also starts its internationalization strategy, it partnered with Paymate, an Australian online payment company, to launch Haiwaibao.com, which allows Chinese consumers to do shopping directly on websites in Australia that support Paymate. It also partnered with Philliou Selwanes Partners (PSP) for Northern American market entry, among other international partnership.

With such a strong competitor in both C2C and online payment market in China, whether Baidu can take advantage of its broad user base and popular search and community-related service to gain significant market share quickly is still uncertain.

你以为你占据了中文搜索引擎的第一名就了不起了？淘宝( taobao.com )不鸟你了，广大站长不care你了，很多公司恨不得早点从竞价排名中挣脱出来了。Y的，叫你拽。

列举一下你让人讨厌的地方：

1，竞价排名。 不公平，不公正，不公开。李彦宏当初的一意孤行，虽取得了大量现金收入，但也造成了现在的隐痛。当搜索结果第一页都是广告的时候，看你怎么办。

2，退出竞价排名后的无耻行为(网上的传闻)。据说某个公司一旦退出竞价排名，那个公司网站就会彻底从搜索结果中消失！慑于百度这种淫威，很多公司不得不死扛着。

3，现在新站很难被百度收录了。基本上被Google收录只需一两天，而被baidu收录，基本上两三个月都很难很难。广大站长们，喜欢百度的举个手？

4，搜索技术让人鄙视。百度很多时候确实能搜到更多的中文信息，这个嘛，说穿了，不就是多搜了点中文的东西吗，也是靠牺牲大量英文内容换来的。所以，百度想让全世界认可，不可能！不敢小看你的技术，可是你的技术用在的不合理的地方。你把搜索技术都用到怎么将竞价排名和搜索结果相结合上了！

5,  无视互联网的游戏规则。你知道什么是robots.txt吗？不让你搜的你硬上，请你搜的又不来。淘宝都从技术上屏蔽你了，看你咋办。

• Tell visitors clearly that the page they’re looking for can’t be found. Use language that is friendly and inviting.
• Make sure your 404 page uses the same look and feel (including navigation) as the rest of your site.
• Consider adding links to your most popular articles or posts, as well as a link to your site’s home page.
• Think about providing a way for users to report a broken link.
• No matter how beautiful and useful your custom 404 page, you probably don’t want it to appear in Google search results. In order to prevent 404 pages from being indexed by Google and other search engines, make sure that your webserver returns an actual 404 HTTP status code when a missing page is requested.

这是一封在腾讯内部员工中传阅的邮件，出自一个在腾讯公司工作了6年的前高管之手，其中较为深刻的提及腾讯公司在创业初期的困难重重和一些成长内幕，马化腾的精神和大家创业的激情着实让我感到有些吃惊——付出一定有回报。
以下是邮件的全部内容：

各位兄弟：

我在腾讯整整工作了6年。如果我能活到60岁的话，就有1/10的生命是投入到一个“初创公司到上市公司”的过程里的。这不是随便说说，6年的时间，意味着我知道很多你们不知道的事情：

1、 腾讯98年10月成立。公司的主要业务是开发和销售“BP机寻呼系统”，后来发现市场饱和（早干吗来着），于是转到互联网寻呼系统（TIPS）。这套系统 一直卖到99年的夏天，只赔不赚。出于兴趣爱好，99年2月马化腾顶着其他股东的压力，执意开发OICQ，当时的原话是“大不了回去做程序员”。与此同时 TIPS还在卖着，号称给公司带来营收，实际收不回钱来。我说这段话的意思是，初创公司走弯路是有先例的，有它的必然性。

2、随着OICQ用户不断增加，公司的经费却逐日减少。到99年11月，公司帐上只有1万多元。从99年10月，也就是公司运营一年后，腾讯开始正式融资。之前也接触过一些VC，甚至想过卖公司、卖OICQ。经过长达7个月的努力，终于在2000年4月份融资到位。

3、 融资的唯一理由就是“用户”。当时OICQ用户已经是百万级了，没有任何收入。VC问马化腾，你觉得你的核心价值是什么？马说，“以色列的ICQ卖了几千 万美元，它有多少多少用户。我现在有多少多少用户，所以我就值这么多钱”。IDG林栋梁几年后亲口告诉我，他就是因为这句话投资Tencent的。

4、同事们上下班没有时间概念，但在公司里的时间必然超过家里。后来怀疑是用OICQ聊天，因为家里上网费贵。

5、几个创始人每天必定在一起吃午餐或晚餐，用这个时间来沟通。

6、创始人经常吵架，拍桌子，甚至相互不理。马化腾从来不吵，只会生气，生气的时候言语刻薄。他的管理能力、领导风范都是后来的事。

7、公司帐上没钱时，没有人垂头丧气。这是真的。

8、在融资的7个月里，大家都很关心融资（因为开不出工资）。但从没有人耽误工作，也没有人问。

9、马化腾在融资过程中，做了两次腰椎手术。第二次手术后，是平躺在床上，高举着Notebook办公的。

10、 当时国内的即时通信包括：ICQ，Yahoo mesenger，MSN（能见到，就是不会用），SINApager，PICQ，QICQ，PCICQ，MoMo，8d8d，SOQ，TomQ等等，至 少十余家，还有IP6.0这类东西。OICQ是最穷的，最小、最没钱。尽管IM有了十多家，在几百万互联网用户眼里，它仍然是个新生事物。

11、腾讯的营收是按照回款计算的，并非开票收入。这是吃了当年TIPS的亏。

12、马化腾后来曾说腾讯的成功有一定运气。其实了解腾讯的人都明白，是“务实＋专注＋创业热忱”促使腾讯成功的。
